Install the extension
The Chrome extension is the capture surface. Without it, you have no way to send screenshots and DevTools context to your projects.
Install from the Chrome Web Store
- Open the Toado extension on the Chrome Web Store.
- Click Add to Chrome, then Add extension in the confirmation prompt.
- The Toado icon appears in your toolbar.
Pin it to your toolbar
Chrome hides new extensions behind a puzzle-piece icon by default. Pin Toado to your toolbar so the capture button is always one click away.
- Click the puzzle-piece icon to the right of the Chrome address bar.
- Find Toado in the list.
- Click the pin icon next to it.
The Toado icon now sits in your toolbar.
Connect to your account
- Click the Toado icon. The extension popup opens.
- Click Connect to Toado. A Chrome auth window opens to app.toado.dev, asks you to approve the connection, and hands the extension a token. No copy-paste required.
- The popup updates to show your account.
Uses OAuth + PKCE under the hood. The extension never sees your password, and revoking access from your Sessions page in app settings cuts it off instantly.
Test it
Navigate to any page. Press Alt + B to open the popup, or Alt + C to capture immediately without the popup. The extension opens the new ticket in a new tab.
Where to next
- Your first capture, the end-to-end flow.
- Extension overview, what it captures and how it works.
- Permissions & privacy, the data boundary.
- Options & settings, customize defaults.
