Connect Claude Code
Toado exposes your tickets to AI coding agents over the Model Context Protocol. Once connected, Claude Code can read a ticket’s description, screenshot, captured console and network data, fix the bug in your codebase, comment with the commit, and move the ticket forward.
The short version
In your terminal:
claude mcp add toado --transport http https://mcp.toado.dev/mcp --scope userThen open a Claude Code session and run /mcp. A browser tab opens, you sign in, and you pick one of three access levels: Read-only, Read + comment, or Full access. Pick Full access the first time so the agent can work tickets end to end.
Verify it worked by asking Claude:
List my Toado companies. What to do next
Connecting is the first of three steps. The other two are worth doing in the same sitting:
- Point the agent at a project. Ask Claude to find your project and show you the To Do column. It will discover the ids it needs on its own.
- Install the triage skill. The
toado-triageskill turns “work my queue” into one line, and it handles the whole loop: read the ticket, fix it, commit, comment with the commit SHA, move the ticket to In Review.
The server is open source
The Toado MCP server is public. You can read exactly what it sends, run it yourself against your own workspace, or contribute a tool. See Source and self-hosting.
